UAE clinches spot in ACC Premier Cup finals, defeats Nepal by six wickets
KATHMANDU: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) secured a place in the finals of the ACC Men’s Premier Cup with a convincing six-wicket victory over Nepal on Friday.
Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, UAE restricted Nepal to 119 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Sandeep Jora’s 50 runs were the highlight of Nepal’s innings, supported by Gulshan Jha with 20 runs and Karan KC with 17 runs.
In response, UAE chased down the target of 120 runs in the 18th over, led by Alishan Sharafu’s impressive knock of 55 runs and V Sukumaran’s contribution of 28 runs.
During Nepal’s innings, Gulsan Jha managed to claim two wickets, while Sompal Kami and Karan KC each took one wicket.
With this victory, UAE advances to the finals of the ACC Premier Cup, showcasing their dominance in the tournament.
